On May 1st, we traditionally set out to show mares at the Central Mare Inspection for the Trakehner Verband in Schleswig-Holstein. We had great help from Pam Duffy, who was visiting from the US! And thanks to Imke, we also have some nice photos to share. Please follow the link by clicking on the photo below:

And while more foals are arriving, we are back to sleepless nights with our client mare Ulanda by E.L. Louidor (owned by Stephanie Lahnstein). Some other mares are already back in foal, and our crop of this year is developing very nicely.

Finally, all three foals by High Spirit have been born. On April 26th, both Adeline II by Fleetwater Opposition and PrSt. Schwalbendame by Kafka produced fillies. We are very pleased with this first crop of our home-bred stallion - his foals are very curios, people-oriented, and even at day 1 (respc. 3) exhibit great athleticism and good movement.

Two more foals were born in the past weeks: Enrico by E.H. Manrico o/o Eluis by Krokant (Breeder: Woodland Farm LLC, USA) and Krümel's first home bred, the colt Unfug v. High Spirit o/o United by Le Tigre x. Both these boys are growing up fast and are a joy to be around. Also, our dangerous Duchsund pup Patty is training her advanced killer instinct and is growing into her big floppy ears rather well!! See for yourself!

We also have new videos of the stunning Hot Wheelz by E.H. Sixtus and Maroma SRC by E.H. Manrico - toe very special foals as we think. We're working on our full foal gallery for the year, while we're waiting on three more to arrive!

Our stallion show was a big success. For a rport with photos and videos, please follow this link:
Our first foals have been born! March 7th was the first arrival, the very leggy and typey black colt Cigar by Tzigane *Pb* out of Caro-Sieben by Cornus. Only a few days later, Tzigane *Pb* had a beautiful daughter, Canter Girl, out of Chalyna v. E.H. Manrico. Her name is the program! Again a few days later, we welcomed the stunning filly Maroma SRC by E.H. Manrico out of Pr.St. Madeira by. Goldschmidt. Her breeder is a very happy Pamela Duffy at Sunsprite Ranch in California. And on March 23rd, another black colt was born, Hot Wheelz by. E.H. Sixtus out of Pr.St. Hot Colour by E.H. Manrico, a very independent foal. His breeder is Kerri Montgomery from Canada, who happened to arrive in Germany just as he was born! Sadly, not all went well. A beautiful bay colt by Tzigane *Pb* out of Pr.St. Chess by E.H. Manrico, a full brother to our Championship foal Checkmate from last year, only lived a few hours.
We will present the first foals of the year during our stallion show on March 25th.

Springtime is foal time, and while we're still waiting for the first arrival, Tzigane's first foal was born in the US: chestnut filly Frizz out of Holme Park First Class by Prokofiev was born in Texas, at Holme Ranch Trakehners. And at Majenfelde, we have a new family member as well - Patty, our adorable Dachsund puppy, who is pure joy on 4 (very short) legs.
Glücksruf is now firmly established under saddle and is just a wonderful stallion to work with. he learns quickly, has an outstanding work ethic and we're certain he'll turn into the great athlete we already saw glimpses of in Neumünster 2011. Also, Ruffian Reef xx is back under saddle and does an excellent job. We are looking forward to presenting all stallions to visitors of our upcoming stallion show in three weeks.
January 24th 2012
Welcome to the new year! We are very excited about 2010, with new stallions stationed here at Majenfelde, and the rather large foal crop we're expecting. We have refurbished our German stallion pages: Hengstseiten, and are working on the English section as well. For now, please visit the old English pages here: Stallion Pages. We now have 6 stallions on station, which is the largest number we've ever had. Our new stallions include the outstanding TB Ruffian Reef xx and the "Best jumper" prize winner of the last crop in NMS, Glücksruf.. We would like to thank their owners, Mia Majurin from Finland and Timothy Holekamp from the US for their trust in us and our program. We are looking forward to the new adventures of 2012, together with you!
For Tzigane *Pb*, 2012 marks his last season in Germany. We are very thankful for the positive feedback we have received from breeders that have used him in the past, and are looking forward to a number of interesting foals expected this year, including some in Finland and Bulgaria. Taz' son Harry Houdini, successful up to CCI* level as a 6yr old, is heading for Germany together with his owner and rider Sara Mittleider. The two will be stationed out of Andreas Dibowski's barn in North Germany, and plan to qualify for the FEI World Championships in Lion d'Angers/France, in the fall of this year. We have our fingers crossed for you!
At the end of February, we are waiting for the first foals of the year. All in all, a total of 11 foals are scheduled to arrive this year, some of them owned by clients. We are excited about the expected foal crop by E.H. Sixtus, Tzigane *Pb*, E.H. Manrico und High Spirit.
And please mark your calendars for a most important date: March 25th 2012 at 2PM we will host our annual stallion show and will present our new stallions Glücksruf and Ruffian Reef xx under saddle. You are most welcome to join us here at Majenfelde, and we are looking forward to a wonderful afternoon!
